Take gaming to a new level in an inclusive community with your very own gaming station in the classroom, connected to the school's fiber broadband for the lowest ping. Experience the sunset from the tent and enjoy good conversations around the fire. Welcome to a year full of experiences!
Over the course of the year, you'll hone your gaming skills in your favorite games, while you're sure to discover some new favorites. We participate in tournaments all over Norway, try our hand at streaming and new technology. In addition, we get to test ourselves with activities such as surfing, climbing and parachuting (for those who wish). We end the year with a 2-week cruise to wonderful Australia.
Become part of a diverse and social environment where you will be able to create new friendships for life. The class is made up of people with a common interest in gaming, and together we will experience a lot both in the digital world and in the real world.
You will learn technical, analytical and strategic skills to take your game to new heights. At the same time, you get to explore a number of exciting activities and learn about the importance of good health, nutrition, exercise and sleep.
This is the line for you who like to play, are a bit adventurous, want to travel and experience exciting things together with others.

Gaming and E-sports
The meta has changed! Gaming and E-sports have taken the world by storm and there has been a great growth within the industry in recent years. We cover everything from the history and culture of gaming to competitions. Here you will get a lot of time for gaming - honing your skills; both individually and as a team player.
We focus on the biggest international games such as Counter-Strike, Overwatch 2, League of Legends, Apex Legends, Valorant and Fortnite. As well as we are testing out many more! There is room for everyone and every gaming enthusiast.
In addition to a lot of time in game setting, we also look at the history and culture of gaming, as well as technology related to video games and e-sports. We look at the competitive aspect of video games, including tournament games, work on mapping our own gaming skills and developing analytical, technical and strategic skills.
Health, exercise, activity and sport
Here we use the beautiful local Trøndelag nature as a learning arena to develop ourselves as individuals, get to know cooperation and communication better. Here you will get to try various activities such as climbing and abseiling, skiing/boarding and a wide selection of outdoor activities.
In addition to feeling the joy of being active, we want to point out the importance of physical activity, nutrition and sleep for general health and well-being. Here you can develop skills and techniques to improve performance in both sports, games and e-sports. This includes a wide range of physical activities and games that emphasize competition, teamwork and physical skills. We will also have outdoor activities such as overnight trips, day trips, sports and survival.
In the autumn, we and several of the other active lines at the school travel to Hoddevik. Here there will be a 4-day surfing course. Hoddevik is a small surfing village in western Norway known for its fantastic sandy beaches and perfect waves.
Travel - Australia
On a 14-day adventure to Australia, we get to experience the last part of the wonderful Australian summer. We surf along one of the world's most spectacular coastlines, explore ancient gorges and abseil down 30 meter high waterfalls in the Blue Mountains.
We explore Sydney, travel along the coast to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world's most impressive ecosystems, to free dive among colorful fish, turtles and maybe even sharks.
The trip offers encounters with kangaroos, insight into Australia's unique landscape and rich culture. This will be an unforgettable journey that is about learning, growing, and venturing out of your comfort zone on an adventure you will never forget.

Sebastian Schipper
Throughout his upbringing, Sebastian has had a passionate relationship with gaming, in addition to his interest in the outdoors.
He is a trained nature guide and has extensive expertise in the outdoors. In addition, he is an active fellow with a lot of varied experience; winter expeditions on Hardangervidda, diving, mountain biking, glacier instructor and glacier guide - to name a few.

Hiking gear doesn't have to be so expensive! Feel free to check what you have that works before you buy a new one. If you have to buy, it is also possible to see what is available used before you buy new. It is also possible to borrow a good deal of equipment at BUA in Verdal.
Schedule
In addition to the main subjects, you also have joint subjects, elective subjects and project subjects. The common subjects is worth its weight in gold for building community and preparing you for life after school. We offer many exciting electives, such as golf, horse riding, photography, the hunting test, the boat driving test and much more. IN project subject you get the opportunity to, among other things, take up subjects, or explore different career paths.
No two weeks are the same, but a typical week might look like this:
Shared every day: Good breakfast + morning meeting (a word for the day, today's news, marking birthdays and other important information).
- Monday: Room cleaning, Boarding subjects, Housing collection, lunch and line subjects
- Tuesday: Electives throughout the day
- Wednesday: Common subjects, lunch and line subjects
- Thursday: Main courses all day
- Friday: Line subjects. Boarding laundry the hour before dinner
- Saturday: Seminar/activity/trip, student evening, Saturday dinner with hot meal

Loans and Scholarships
For the 2024/2025 school year, you can be paid up to NOK 137,907 from the Lånekassen. 60 per cent of this sum is a loan, 40 per cent is a loan that can be converted into a scholarship when you are approved for your year at folkehøgskole.
