Substitute teacher in the Music and Sound Production department

Approx. 50 % in the period 01.08.26 – 31.07.27

Would you like to work with good and committed folk high school staff in the coming school year?

Bakketun Folk High School will need temporary teachers to teach towards the subject area of music for the school year 2026/2027. The position size will be approx. 50 % in the period 01.08.26 to 31.07.27. The main tasks will be teaching and responsibility for the academic program in the school's line Music and sound engineering, teaching in the common subject Choir/cultural subjects and possibly various electives throughout the school year.

Other work tasks may be relevant based on competence and experience. Personal suitability will be given importance.

The tasks may have some flexibility in periods, and can be a good addition to some performing activity. Furthermore, we can offer varied tasks, great freedom in your own teaching work, good colleagues and pleasant students.

We are looking for someone who has expertise in several of the fields below:

• Prerequisite for theoretical and practical work with music, especially within traditional band instruments and collaboration
• Ensemble management and work with choirs
• Basic knowledge of music technology, use of audio equipment for recording and live performance
• Thrives with and working with young people

General for the position:

The position will include some socio-pedagogical work. The employees must be able to work in accordance with the school's pedagogical and Christian objectives. Salary and working conditions in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Membership in the State pension fund.
