The kitchen at Bakketun folkehøgskole is open for the opportunity to order food from our kitchen, in addition to serving our
students daily. Here it will be possible to order both cold buffets and 2/3 course dinners. The kitchen focuses on food from
the bottom line, and tries to make most of the house.

In addition, it will be possible to book events and accommodation at the school, mainly in the period from mid-May to the end of August.

Bakketun Catering and Accommodation

Bakketun FHS is located on a hill in Verdal, close to the city centre. The school has a sheltered garden which is great for closed events.

We have no regular activities at the house in the summer, but we do have a gymnasium, training room, large garden and a separate kitchen that can be used for rental. The school is located i.a. only 4 km from Stiklestad, where "The Play of Saint Olav", the Nordic region's largest open-air theater is held during the Olsok days each year. We have the option of renting out to groups and events from mid-May to the end of August, but also accept catering and requests for premises and food at other times of the year. If we have free capacity in the boarding school, we can also accept overnight stays during the school year. Here we can rent out for weddings, birthdays, courses, conferences, staff gatherings, catering or just accommodation.

We focus on food from scratch, and try to make most of it at home. Here it will be possible to order both cold buffets and 2/3 course dinners. In addition, it will be possible to book events and accommodation at the school, mainly in the period from mid-May to the end of August.

Our Restaurant

We tailor companies or events according to your wishes. We have good premises for large and small companies, teaching rooms, function rooms, gymnasium, accommodation rooms and a large and delicate garden right outside the function room.

The dining room accommodates approx. 100 people. The living room has approx. 35-40 people. We can open the doors between these rooms, so that we can accommodate parties of up to 140 people.

Bakketun is known for its good breakfasts and lunches. We cook a lot from scratch, so here you get a taste of home-cooked food with good flavours.

We have suitable premises for:

Memorial service

Here we arrange the setting, white tablecloths, white napkins and candles, and simple flower decorations. We provide food, premises and waiters. We also have accommodation options if needed, from NOK. NOK 500 per person per night. Double room w/bathroom NOK NOK 1,200 per night.

We can also deliver catering to other premises.

You can cover yourself, or we can arrange it. You can bring your own cakes and soft drinks.
We prepare the food based on your wishes.
We can only rent premises if we have no other events (NOK 3,000)

Course and conference

Vi kan ordne pakketilbud til dere, kommer litt an på antall personer og antall døgn. Vi har oppreide senger, håndduker og vi vasker etter dere. Overnatting i dobbeltrom med egne bad på rommene, inkl. full pensjon som frokost, en god lunsj, middag, kveldsmat, kaffe/te, fruktpause og kakepause kr. 1295,- pr døgn. Overnatting i internatet, enkelt eller dobbeltrom, full pensjon, med felles bad på korridor kr. 1195,- pr døgn.

Cured food 2 types, roast beef, lefse rolls with cured ham, smoked salmon, hot smoked salmon or pepper salmon, mustard sauce, lefse rolls with smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, potato salad, Waldorf salad, pasta salad, foccatia, aioli.

Large cold table: NOK NOK 345 per pers.
