Går du med en drøm om å bli skuespiller? Stå på scenen, spille teater og jobbe med egne manus? Prøve ut film, opptre på turnè? Her kan du ta nye steg på din scenereise!
På linja Teater og scenekuns får du en innføring i det å stå på scenen. Du lærer deg å improvisere, formidle ulike karakterer og skrive manus til både monologer og dialoger. Videre får du arbeide med stemmebruk og vokalteknikk.
I scenisk arbeid er trygghet er et nøkkelord, både trygghet i deg selv og til dine medspillere, og her får du tips og råd til å håndtere sceneskrekk og nervøsitet. En som står på scenen bruker sin egen kropp som instrument når en står foran publikum, og innen skuespillerfaget arbeider vi med teknikker som method acting, observasjonsevne, fantasi, bevegelse og hvordan du kan bruke rommet for å formidle.
I perioder samarbeider vi med linjene Musikk og lydproduksjon og Kunsthåndverk – de andre kreative linjene på skolen. Det gir muligheter for forestillinger, arbeid med scenografi, rekvisitter, sminke, og vi drar på turnè sammen hvor du kan stå på scenen med full pakke, lyd, lys, kulisser og band.
Vi reiser også på studieturer til London og New York sammen, hvor vi kan møte mennesker som har gjort scene og formidling til sitt levebrød. Kanskje blir året på Bakketun starten på ditt sceneliv?

Travel - London and New York
London, høst (5-6 dager): London byr på over 150 teatre, og vi skal oppleve musikaler og teater i verdensklasse. Utforsk muligheter innen musikk, lyd, og teater, og vurder studiemulighetene i denne kreative metropolen.
Live-konserter, ikoniske røde busser, og mye mer venter på deg. Dette kan bli et uforglemmelig minne fra folkehøgskoleåret, med både inspirasjon og mange gode felleskapsminner!
New York, vår (7-8 dager): The study tour in the spring goes to the legendary New York - the city that never sleeps.
New York er en kulturby med opplevelser og muligheter rundt hvert hjørne. Du får oppleve det beste byen kan by på av kultur, slik som teaterforestillinger i ulike sjangre og musikaler på Broadway. Vi lar oss inspirere av mennesker som har en personlig historie å fortelle; Det kan f.eks. være unge mennesker som prøver å realisere drømmen innenfor, musikk, teater og lyd.
Elevene med fordypning musikk og lyd kan lage musikkvideo basert på selvskrevne låter, og er man elev på teater kan man få mulighet til å være skuespiller i denne musikkvideoen innspilt i New York.
New York has a lot of everything - from famous museums, well-known parks and buildings, good shopping opportunities, an enormous art and cultural life and food from all corners of the world. Here there is something for every taste. We will get to know the city and here you will experience the places you have seen in well-known and beloved films and series. A bike ride in Central park, experience the city skyline from a boat deck or experience the view of the entire city from one of Manhattan's tallest skyscrapers... The possibilities are endless! We know the city well and can therefore take you to things that are not so easy to do on your own.

Annette Lyngstad Skavhaug
Lærer Teater og Scenekunst
Annette is a teacher at the Theater line; Actor. She has previously both attended and been a scholarship holder at the school and on the line, and knows the everyday life of folk high schools well. Furthermore, she has a pedagogical education and is now studying at Nord University in addition to working at the school.

Schedule
In addition to the main subjects, you also have joint subjects, elective subjects and project subjects. The common subjects is worth its weight in gold for building community and preparing you for life after school. We offer many exciting electives, such as golf, horse riding, photography, the hunting test, the boat driving test and much more. IN project subject you get the opportunity to, among other things, take up subjects, or explore different career paths.
No two weeks are the same, but a typical week might look like this:
Shared every day: Good breakfast + morning meeting (a word for the day, today's news, marking birthdays and other important information).
- Monday: Room cleaning, Boarding subjects, Housing collection, lunch and line subjects
- Tuesday: Electives throughout the day
- Wednesday: Common subjects, lunch and line subjects
- Thursday: Main courses all day
- Friday: Line subjects. Boarding laundry the hour before dinner
- Saturday: Seminar/activity/trip, student evening, Saturday dinner with hot meal

Loans and Scholarships
For the 2024/2025 school year, you can be paid up to NOK 137,907 from the Lånekassen. 60 per cent of this sum is a loan, 40 per cent is a loan that can be converted into a scholarship when you are approved for your year at folkehøgskole.

Get to know the scholarship recipients for next year
Meet Albertine and Victoria who will be scholarship holders (2nd year students) on the Scene Studio Tour.
- I needed a year without grade pressure, and at the same time to do something I think is fun
Ingeborg plays music on the Scene Studio Tour, and says that one of the best things about the line is being able to try new things within a safe framework.
Line trip to New York 2023
11 days in wonderful New York! We lived in central Manhattan, and got to experience several theatres, visits to music studios, museums and art exhibitions. We explored Times Square, Brooklyn, picnics in Central Park and much more!
