Australia and Asia
On this 4-week journey you will experience magnificent nature, new cultures and close human encounters. We combine adventure and learning, and travel to understand more of the world – and of ourselves.
In Australia we go to a surf camp, visit the big city of Sydney and head into the Australian desert. There we sleep under the open sky and watch the sun rise over Uluru – a sacred place for the Aborigines. We learn about the history and beliefs of the indigenous people, and have the opportunity to do activities such as skydiving and snorkeling.
In Asia we backpack through both villages and big cities in countries like Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. We visit temples, eat street food, learn about local traditions and meet people with completely different lives than our own. An important highlight is the visit to the Baan Chivit Mai orphanage in Northern Thailand – an aid project we have worked on throughout the school year. Here you get to meet the children, hear their stories and see what community and help can mean in practice.
