Sport Extreme in Australia and Thailand

In March, the line Sport Extreme was on a 4-week trip to Australia and Thailand. The trip focused on extreme sports, activities and cultural meetings.

IMPECCABLE TRAVEL COMPANION: Traveling as a group was fantastic; share experiences, learn from each other and create memories together.

Surfing and sunbathing in Lake Tabourine

We started with surf lessons at Lake Tabourine, where we enjoyed the beach and learned to surf and skateboard. We went on a kangaroo safari, which was one of several highlights of the trip, and we stayed in cabins at a campsite near the beach.

SURFING AND SUN: In Tabourie we spent a lot of time perfecting our surfing technique

Skydiving in Wollongong

We then spent three days in Wollongong, where the students got to try skydiving, and explore the city and culture. We also got to meet another class from Bakketun who were on a trip, and it was special to be reunited on the other side of the world. In Wollongong we stayed at a hostel by the beach.

BEST DOWN TRIP OF YOUR LIFE: Skydiving was definitely one of the highlights

Blue Mountains and Katoomba

We then took a bus to the Blue Mountains and to the mountain town of Katoomba. Here we went on a day trip to "The Three Sisters", a sacred place for the Aboriginal population in Australia. We cycled in the rain forest one day, then we gorged and abseiled Empress Canyon, we abseiled in a 30 meter waterfall. Here we stayed in a very cozy hostel.

Exciting encounter with the big city of Sydney

Towards the end of our stay in Australia, we took a train to Sydney and visited the Opera House before the students were free to explore the city. Some went shopping, some were tourists in the park, while others saw the opera. It was also a highlight for the students, and we stayed in the center of the city in a hostel.

SYDNEY: Sunny and fine days in Sydney

Action-packed trip to Phuket

After a nice stay in Australia, we traveled on to Phuket, Thailand. We tried different activities such as kiting, rafting, Muay Thai training and got the PADI diving certificate, which allows students to dive anywhere in the world down to a depth of 18 meters.

PADI-DEEP WATER: The diving certificate gives us the opportunity to dive anywhere in the world down to a depth of 18 metres.

Round off the trip with luxury and relaxation

Then we went to Railay, where we stayed at the Sand Sea Resort, a very nice hotel. We climbed the huge cliffs, saw monkeys and went island hopping to locations that were filming locations for "Pirates of the Caribbean". We ended the trip in luxury and style and it was a huge highlight.

Unique experience traveling as a group

Traveling as a group is a unique experience where you can share experiences, learn from each other and create memories together. It also builds community and strengthens relationships. At the same time, it can also be challenging to handle different personalities, interests and needs, and it requires flexibility and compromise to keep the group together and ensure that everyone has a good experience. We learned a lot about each other and ourselves on the trip. All in all it was a wonderful trip.

The trip contained many exciting activities, everything from surfing and skydiving to kangaroo safaris and trail cycling - there was definitely a lot of action on the trip! We also had the opportunity to explore and experience different nature, cultures and cuisine. The students were given some time on their own to explore the cities.

The trip can be described as: rich in experience, varied, and a good mix of excitement and relaxation. All in all, a great trip with a fantastic group!
